We are please to introduce our new Articulated Low Loader Tracking Trailer No1 Elite for 2007.

Its design, development and construction have been carried out 'in house' at Bickers Action - taking over 2 years to complete.

We have been operating and filming with Low Loaders over the last 25 years and this experience has been put to good use in the construction of this new Low Loader. It is by far the most technically advanced Low Loader at this time. We guarantee it is the fastest for rigging, filming and de rigging - e.g. Side Extensions can be rigged in a matter of a few minutes and the same applies for Loading. This Low Loader is larger than our last No1 Low Loader but much more maneuverable for turning and reversing with this new design.

Key Features:

Carrying Capacity and Loading

This Low Loader is capable of carrying almost any car, including Rolls Royces, most American vehicles, light vans and limousines - we can even carry aircraft! For vehicles that are too wide to load with trailer wheels in their normal position, the wheels can be hydraulically powered outwards to allow for increased loading width. Crew Carrying capacity is increased to 9 Crew plus Artists in the Action Vehicle on the Trailer. 

6 Way Extending Trailer

6 Way hydraulically widening, 4 hydraulically extending side Extension platforms complete with Handrails and 2 hydraulically widening rear wheels for increased working area and increased width for loading extra wide vehicles.

Crew Compartment / Crew Comfort

Large enclosed Crew Compartment with windows, with seating for up to 7 Crew Members - each seating position fitted with a lap safety harness and cushioned seating. Power supply for ancillary equipment and lighting are also fitted in this compartment together with a removable monitor table. The compartment is also fitted with steps and a safety hand rail.

EC Conformity - For Construction and Use

The Trailer conforms and complies with the EU 03 European Trailer regulations, which includes the legal requirement for fitting of an Anti Lock Braking system. The Hydraulic Braking system is also extremely quiet and smooth for the deceleration of the Low Loader.

The reason for a change from using the American Chevrolet to European based towing vehicle is very straight forward - the fact that American Vehicles in the UK over 3500Kg Gross Weight (Loaded Weight) cannot be Type Approved for use in the UK and they can not be used legally for this application anymore - our previous No1 Low Loader did not cause us a problem because it was registered before rule changes.

A Tachograph is also fitted because its Gross Weight is over 3500KG. Driver hours are always a consideration if we work long days; the driver is able to take his rest within the Towing Vehicle as it is fitted with a Sleeper Cab.

Air Suspension

The Independent Suspension is 100% air cushion and can be adjusted according to weight and ride comfort. The trailer is fitted with much larger diameter airbags, which allows the trailer to ride much better when greater loads are being carried.

The trailer Air Suspension automatically adjusts the braking for differing weight carrying capacities, allowing safer and more efficient braking either loaded or unloaded. The Air Suspension Air bags can be adjusted by the push of a button, no more air hoses to trip over at the side of the Low Loader whilst rigging - changes to the ride height can be made in a matter of seconds.
