Bickers Action Screen Stunts and Engineering

Paul BickersBickers Action was started by Dave Bickers in 1976 following an illustrious career in motorcycle scrambling. The company has experienced steady growth over the last 25 years and this development has been built on the foundation of the company philosophy to provide inventive solutions, always utilising strong mechanical understanding and resourcefulness. With this basic principle, Bickers Action can meet the industries ever increasing demands and help produce ‘the best’ film and TV stunt action.

Bickers Action remains a family business with Dave’s son Paul as Company Managing Director. The company staff includes a team of stunt engineers who all share a common interest in either two or four wheel motor sport and who possess the keen adaptable skills required to provide the best engineering solutions.

Individual skill and experience is not the only consideration, Bickers Action also has the equipment. From on-set mobile workshops containing every conceivable item required for location fabrication & modifications to a 4,500 sq. ft custom-built workshop that accommodates longer-term projects, development and preparation. In addition, a 57,000 sq. ft test area more than adequately provides room for on-set test beds. This facility was used for ‘dry land’ testing of the record breaking James Bond speedboat barrel roll before being set on the Thames River.
